About

Hi there! I’m Rachel—a stay-at-home mom of seven, homesteader-in-progress, and the heart behind Bringing Life. Alongside me is my husband, Tim—an incredible cook, gifted teacher, and the kind of husband who’s not afraid to roll up his sleeves and dive into the chaos with me.

Together, we’re raising our big, beautiful family and slowly building a homestead from the ground up. Life here looks like canning chicken while wrangling toddlers, teaching history at the kitchen table, harvesting herbs in the wild, and learning to lean into God’s grace through it all.

Bringing Life is more than just a blog—it’s a space to share what nourishes us: food, family, faith, and old wisdom that still matters. On the blog, you’ll find how-to guides, real-life stories, and a recurring bit of Homestead Hilarity (because someone’s always saying something worth writing down). While I do most of the writing, Tim jumps in from time to time to share his own projects, thoughts, and teaching tips.

I’m not claiming to have it all figured out—just inviting you along as we grow, learn, and make a life that brings joy and meaning. I’m currently working toward becoming a certified herbalist, so you’ll find plenty of plant medicine and natural remedies woven into what we do.

We’re so glad you’re here. Pour something warm, pull up a chair, and welcome to Bringing Life.

With love,
Rachel & Tim
