While there are many things that Tim and Rachel are new to and learning along the way, cooking is not one of those things. From gourmet sandwiches and delectable tacos to cozy home-cooked full meals, fantastic cookies, pies, cobblers, warm soups, fresh breads, and far more than we could reasonably list here, cooking has long been both a much-enjoyed hobby and one of the daily joys of family life. There is something deeply satisfying about starting with simple ingredients, turning them into something worth gathering around the table for, and watching a hungry crowd make short work of it.

The Patchwork Table is where we gather the recipes that have become part of our home: old favorites, new experiments, meals built around what is in season, or things made from what we have grown, caught, canned, or preserved.

Some are practical, some are perhaps indulgent, some are born out of necessity, and some simply exist because food is one of the easiest ways to make an ordinary day feel special. As our garden grows and our homestead changes, the recipes will change with it, and this page will keep growing right along with us.
